THUIS is ontstaan vanuit een collectief van muzikanten en creatieven die geloven in de verbindende kracht van muziek. Hun concerten zijn muzikale ervaringen waarin vrede, vreugde en verbinding centraal staan. THUIS gaat verder dan een fysieke plek: het is een innerlijk gevoel van thuiskomen, een herinnering aan wie we zijn — niet alleen als individu, maar ook als onderdeel van een groter geheel. Hier is muziek meer dan entertainment. Vanuit THUIS delen zij deze wijsheid door middel van muziek en nodigen ze je uit om het zelf te ervaren.
MUZIKANTEN
THUIS staat onder leiding van componist, multi-instrumentalist en zanger Maringo Bérénos. Opgegroeid in Nederland, reisde hij de wereld rond om te leren van muzikale tradities uit onder andere Brazilië, Zuid-Afrika, Senegal en India. In zijn werk versmelt hij muziek uit deze verschillende culturen met eigen composities en improvisatie.
Emrah Oğuztürk: instrumentalist (Kaval, Duduk), geroemd om zijn gevoelvolle spel met een zee van ruimte en geduld. Zijn muziek put uit Turkse en Midden-Oosterse volkstradities, en verbindt eeuwenoude melodieën met een hedendaags gevoel — voor een unieke, introspectieve luisterervaring. Emrah was onderdeel van de eerste twee edities van THUIS en dit keer weer erbij voor een onvergetelijke ervaring.
DEZE EDITIE
Deze editie van THUIS is een intieme sessie waarin Maringo en Emrah onderzoeken wat er gebeurt als je terugkeert naar eenvoud. Vanuit die plek van stilte en improvisatie kan alles ontstaan. Van ontspanning to activatie, het wijst altijd terug naar de stilte waaruit het is voortgekomen. Muziek is er om ons vrij te maken en ons te herinneren aan onze essentie. Dit concert is een uitnodiging tot diep luisteren.

THUIS emerged from a collective of musicians and creatives who believe in the connecting power of music. Their concerts are not ordinary performances, but musical experiences centred around peace, joy and connection.
THUIS goes beyond being a physical place: it is an inner feeling of coming home, a reminder of who we are — not only as individuals, but also as part of something greater. Here, music is more than entertainment.
Through THUIS, they share this wisdom through music and invite you to experience it for yourself. They take you on a journey beyond boundaries, towards a feeling we all recognise — whether we find it in a temple, mosque, church or living room: the feeling of coming home.
MUSICIANS
THUIS is led by composer, multi-instrumentalist and singer Maringo Bérénos. Raised in the Netherlands, he travelled the world to learn from musical traditions from countries including Brazil, South Africa, Senegal and India. In his work, he blends music from these different cultures with original compositions and improvisation.
Emrah Oğuztürk (kaval, duduk): Kurdish instrumentalist (kaval, duduk) celebrated for his soulful playing, with a deep sense of spaciousness and patience. His music draws from Turkish and Middle Eastern folk traditions, connecting ancient melodies with a contemporary sensibility to create a unique and introspective listening experience. Emrah was part of the first two editions of THUIS and will be joining us again for another unforgettable experience.
THIS EDITION
This edition of THUIS is an intimate session in which we explore what happens when we return to simplicity. From that place of silence and improvisation, anything can emerge. From relaxation to activation, everything ultimately points back to the silence from which it arose. Music is here to set us free and remind us of our essence.
This concert is an invitation to listen deeply.
